How long is the shower channel?
  • Minimum length available is 500mm up to a maximum length of 2400mm.
  • The overall length of the channel including the tiling flanges and upstands that may be required. Note that it is NOT the length of the grate.
  • Standard sizes are 800, 900, 1200 and 1500mm.

  • When a shower channel is being placed next to a wall it should have tiling upstands (flashing) for better waterproofing. Tiling upstands will be added where walls are selected.
  • It is recommended that the tiling upstands be installed between wall lining and tiles.
  • It is recommended that the tiling upstands be installed between waterproof membrane and tiles.
  • If it is away from the walls in the middle of the shower, don’t select any walls and move to the next step.
  • Standard models have no tiling upstands.

Where will the waste outlet be located?

Where will the waste outlet be located?
  • This is the distance from the outside of the channel to the centreline of the waste outlet. The waste outlet can be located anywhere along the length of the channel with a minimum distance of 75mm to the centreline from either end.
  • The Waste outlet can only be in the middle of the channel from front to rear.
  • The waste must be in the centre for standard models.

How thick is the Wall tile?

Nominate the thickness of the wall tiles that are being used. The channel comes with an allowance of 3mm more than the maximum tile thickness to allow for tile adhesive.

  • The grate height has an allowance of 3mm more than the maximum tile thickness so that tile adhesive brings the tile up to the grate height.
  • Standard models are manufactured with 45mm high grates, therefore must have tile thickness of 7mm or less.
  • Except in the case of the tile insert model which is only manufactured to suit tile that are 8-12mm thick
